Be Creative
@ Your Library

Are you creative?

You might think that only famous artists are creative.  But being creative just means you have original ideas or like to make things.  There are many ways to be creative.  You might like art.  Or music.  Maybe you like to make up stories.  You might like being in a play.  Click on one of the buttons on the left to explore websites, books and other items about that subject.  Let the library help you be creative this summer!

How can websites and software help you be creative?

You can:

  • find art & craft projects
  • create stories
  • learn how to dance
  • find the words to songs
  • draw and color using the computer
  • learn how to make instruments
  • read stories written by other kids
  • find scripts for plays and puppet shows
  • tour virtual museums
  • watch skits
  • and more

How can you find more websites and information on the subjects?

There are sites on the Internet called search engines.  They help you find information on a subject.  Some of them are meant for kids.  Go to one of the following:

You can also use Kids Search, which is a part of Inspire:  Indiana's Virtual Library
www.inspire.net
This can only be used by people who live in Indiana.  You might need an adult to help you get to the site.
